Today we woke up to great big, beautiful SNOWFLAKES falling from the sky. I admit that I’d heard some rumbling amongst the Crew about the possibility of white stuff, but I paid it no attention, because I can’t tell you how many times we’ve been told to expect a virtual blizzard only to be met with disappointed tears and dry snowboots. However, I was pleasantly surprised this fine morning!
Andrew came flying into my room begging to go outside right after the sun came up so we quickly woke up the girls and off they went. This is Isa’s first ever look at snowfall:

She was saying “oooooooh!!” and then she started to laugh.

She was completely delighted {just like her big brother}. I love watching my little ones experience new things! Juju made her way out, too:

She made a really cute snowman, but they destroyed him before I had the chance to get his picture. I did get a shot of the birdfeeder that we made this week though because it stood out so much with all of it’s brightness:

Then, just on cue, look who showed up:

It snowed for most of the morning, so all in all, I’d say we got about 2-ish inches.

It was so beautiful to look at and really fun to wake up to, but you’d never know it was even here just a few short hours ago if you looked outside right now. The sun is shining and there is not even a lone flake left on the ground.
Such is winter in the south! It was nice while it lasted and we are grateful that God sent it our way. Fun morning!

We got a dusting too but it’s nearly all gone now. Landon just walked in the door with a sled that he brought home from work and said “so much for that idea”. Maybe it will snow again?
